Generali pojišťovna, a.s. has a long tradition, opening its first branch in Prague in 1832. It flourished until 1945 when the company was nationalised and its assets confiscated. Generali was thus essentially dissolved. This situation was not remedied until 1993 when Generali Insurance Company returned to the Czech Republic.
Generali Česká pojišťovna is a modern financial institution with a strong knowledge of the Czech market and an international background. Its roots go back to the 19th century.
